Teens Laptop Tips to buy The Next Computer by wholesale electronics news

We know, we know– it feels like summer is only just beginning why are we starting to think about thenext school year? Unfortunately as we all know all good things like summer must eventually come to an end and we have to return back to our regular ways of life and school– which we all know comes back way too quickly. As the back-to-school sales really begin over the next few weeks we want to help make sure you go back fully prepared, well, gadgets wise at least.

One of the toughest things today in back-to-school shopping is finding a new computer/tablet/phone that isn’t just cheap or good, but right for you and what you want and need it to do. We want to try to make this easier for you, and over the course of the rest of the summer we plan to have a whole bunch of posts and guides on good deals we see, some of our recommendations for a new computer, tablet or phone etc. In short, we’re here to help.
Other Business News:
Tablet PC
laptop battery charger
Touchscreen Monitor

So with all that in mind we’re gonna kick off this back-to-school “series” with some tips on what you should look for when your out shopping for a new laptop for school and what are the basic specs that any 2011 computer you buy should have.
The Basics
We’ll explain all of this in more detail below, but for those of you just looking for a short quick list, here are our basic, minimum specs that any new computer that you buy today should have:

Dual core 2nd-gen Intel i3 or i5 processor or AMD Vision E-350
4 GB of RAM
320 GB hard drive
5 hours of battery
Windows 7 Home Premium
There are a ton of computers available with these specs below $500, and as long as you have these specs your new computer should be good to go for the next few years.

The Details
Now let’s get into a bit more detail. When it comes to picking a new computer today, the choices are near endless. Walk into your local Best Buy, Staples, Walmart etc. and you’re immediately surrounded by walls filled with computers and salespeople, well, looking to do what they can to make a sale. If you don’t know what to look for you could very easily wind up with a computer that either is too slow, not the right size, over priced, or just not what you wanted or needed.

We want to try and help you avoid that, so here are some more details to help you understand what those basic specs mean and why you need to have them in your next computer.
The OS
Pretty much a no brainer when it comes to new PCs– Windows 7 is one of the best versions of Windows that Microsoft has ever made, and today you’re gonna find it on any new PC you buy. We love Windows 7, it’s fast, easy and well, it works. There are however, many different versions of Windows 7, but when you’re out shopping for that new PC, you’re gonna wanna get Windows 7 Home Premium. It’s the most common version of Windows 7 and should be more than enough for anything you’re gonna want to do with your new PC (for our full Windows 7 review, see here).

Of course we love Macs too, and while they are more expensive than your typical Windows PC, their great all-aluminum designs and software are what makes them an equally excellent choice for a new computer (particularly with the new OS X Lion, which is included on all new Macs today).
And for those wondering about the next generation of Windows due next year called Windows 8, while it will be designed for better use with touchscreens and tablets, Microsoft has said that it will also run perfectly fine on today’s traditional keyboard/mouse PCs you find in stores. Basically, you don’t need to worry about your new laptop being completely out-of-date next year.
The Processor
Unless you plan on doing a lot of intense graphic, video, or audio creating/editing/producing or a lot of intense gaming (hey, it could be your future job too), you should generally be fine with a processor like a second-generation Intel Core i3 or i5 (though if you are doing a lot of the above we recommend the much faster, though more expensive, i7 processor as you’re gonna need the extra power).

A lot of people have asked us about the differences are between the i3 and i5 and if it’s worth the price difference to go with an i5 (the i5 version is generally the more expensive of the two when comparing two similar computers). Most of the time we’ll tell them that it is. As we all know, computers are expensive and when it comes time to buying one, the intended goal is to have it work well for the next few years. That being said, the i5 in our opinion is better suited for those next few years with its higher speeds and Turbo Boost technology. In simple terms what Turbo Boost does is make the most of your computers performance and battery life by automatically speeding up and lowering the processors depending on what you’re doing (for example, turning off one of the processors while bumping up the speed of the other when coping something into iTunes to make it go faster or turning both on when your editing a video or gaming so you get the best speed and power). You could find great new PCs with these processors at prices well below $1000 mark.

How to make your systems save when downloading the files to their computers

In the past few days since these scams surfaced, a number of MacFixIt readers have contacted us wondering about whether or not their systems are safe after having seen the site on their systems or even downloading the files to their computers. They want to know what they can do to check for and remove the malware.
What the recent malware does
If you have seen the "Apple Security Center" Web site and have clicked on the "Remove All" button, the site will download an installer file for malware that runs locally on your system. The program is distributed in several forms that so far have taken the names "Mac Defender," "Mac Security," and "Mac Protector." When installed it will run in the background and launch pornographic Web sites and other unwanted content, and show a fairly clean and crisp-looking scanner interface that will ask you to purchase  Acer extensa 5220 batteryApple a1185 battery an upgrade.

If you provide your information to the program, you chance identity theft and charges to your credit cards.
Removing it!
Luckily the malware is fairly easy to remove, as it basically runs as a background process on your system that is launched by an action the user takes (logging in, etc.). If you have not installed any programs or opened any files downloaded from these sites, then you should be good to go and can just delete the downloaded files. If you have only visited the site and have not downloaded any files, then you do not need to do anything.

However, if you have opened the downloaded files and especially if you are seeing the malicious behaivor (unwanted pornographic sites randomly opening), or the scanner program launching and saying you have infected files, then you will need to check for and remove the program. To remove it, follow these steps:
Shut it down.
Open the Activity Monitor utility and perform a search for the malware (or browse through the list of running processes for it--sort by name to prevent the list from jumping around). The malware should be called "MacDefender," "MacSecurity," or "MacProtector" and will be running under the current user's name (see the "User" column of activity monitor). Reputable antivirus software for your system will be running under the user name "root" and will have required a full installation that required you to supply your administrator credentials.

With the malware selected in Activity Monitor, click the "Quit Process" button and confirm to quit it (use the force-quit option if it will not quit).

If you want to use the Terminal to do this, you can run the following command to kill the processes by name (the "sudo" portion may not be needed, but this will ensure the system can fully kill the running processes):
sudo killall macdefender macsecurity macprotector
  1. Remove the program.
Go to the /Applications folder and move the program to the trash (it should likewise be called "MacDefender," "Mac Security," or "Mac Protector"). Also locate the installer file (likely in your Downloads directory, or wherever you have Safari store downloaded items) and move it to the trash as well. When you have done this, empty the trash.
  2. Remove references to the program.
So far the program is launched at log-in by the system's "Login Items" feature. Go to the "Accounts" system preferences and choose your account name. Then go to the "Login Items" tab and remove any reference to the software from that list.
Ongoing protection
With the malware removed your system should be good to go; however, there is always the possibility that the malware will change in the future and adopt a new name or a new method of trying to trick users. Generally malware is more prevalent on underground, software piracy, and pornographic Web sites, but numerous people have reported the current Trojans showing up when browsing MSN and other reputable sites. Therefore, in order to better protect yourself you may need more than basic Internet "street smarts." To better protect your system, try some of the following suggestions:

  1. Disable auto-handling of files
Apple supplies a few options to automatically handle files, including the option in Safari to automatically open "Safe" files. Unfortunately the files that Safari considers to be "Safe" are not always so. Therefore, go to Safari's preferences and uncheck the option to open safe files.
  2. Always manually install programs or open documentsIn addition to Safari, check your other Internet-based programs such as e-mail clients, chat programs, and Web browsers to see if they automatically launch files received from the Internet. For instance, Mail has an option to automatically add iCal invites to your calendars. Turn this feature off and manually click on any received invitations only after you have confirmed they are legitimate. Do this for all files received  Dell latitude d830 batteryDell vostro 1500 battery on your system.
  3. Install a reputable malware scanner. There are a number of reputable malware scanners out there, so purchase one, install it, and keep it updated with the latest malware definitions. Some of these scanners are free, and others are commercial products (this list is not complete):
  4. Set up specific downloads folders
Know where your programs download files on your system. By default most will use the system's Downloads folder; however, some will place files in other locations on your system.
  5. Dell latitude d600 battery
Protect your backups by excluding these download folders from them. This can be done in Time Machine's preferences or in the settings for a drive cloning utility if you use one.

How to create MAC services with specialized behaviors

Apple offers a number of its own services—like one that supports dictionary lookup on a selected word—that work with the platform's standard applications. Third-party developers can also create services to deploy with their applications. Automator makes it really easy for regular end users to create their own services with specialized behaviors.
As a Linux refugee, one of the features that makes Automator particularly compelling is that it allows me to integrate command-line operations, commands, and pipelines into my Automator workflows. In this tutorial, I'm going to show you two of the ways that I use shell scripting in Automator services in order to simplify my work.

A trivial example

I write virtually all of my articles in the Vim text editor and use Markdown syntax for formatting. On Linux, I used a Markdown processing tool from the command-line to convert my articles to HTML and then piped the output into the xclip command so that I could just paste the finished article directly into Ars Technica's content management system. I had a simple shell script that I could call directly from within Vim itself to perform those steps.
This same approach is still viable on Mac OS X, but I wanted to explore a more Mac-native solution to the same problem. More importantly, I wanted a solution that wasn't tied solely Hp 530 batteries,Hp dv1000 battery to Vim. That's where Automator comes into play. I built a trivial service that wraps a command-line Markdown processor. I can select a block of editable text with Markdown formatting in any Mac application and use the Markdown service to convert it to HTML in place.
To create a service, you start by selecting New from Automator's File menu. Automator will show you a list of available templates and prompt you to choose one for your new project. You should select the Service option, which is accompanied by a gear icon. In your new service, you will see a bar at the top of the Automator flow pane. It has combo boxes that allow you to set filters that establish the conditions in which your service should be made accessible. You want to make a service that receives selected text and will operate in any application.
Below those combo boxes is a checkbox that you can toggle to specify whether you want the output of your service to replace the selected text block. We definitely want that to be checked for our Markdown service, because we are replacing the Markdown-formatted input text with the HTML output provided Hp dv2000 batteries,Hp dv6000 battery by the Markdown processing engine.
The behavior of our Markdown workflow is really simple, so it will only require one action. From the left-hand action library pane, drag the Run Shell Script action out into the workflow pane. It will automatically create a connection with the top bar, indicating that it will use the user's selected text as the initial input.
The shell script action has a few simple options. You can choose the shell environment that you want to use for the operation and you can choose how you want it to handle the input. For the purpose of this example, we want to use the standard Bash shell. We also want to configure the action to pass the input into stdin, the UNIX standard input stream. This is a really useful capability in Automator, because it makes it possible to seamlessly mix Automator workflows with shell pipelines.
In the main text area of the shell action, we need to specify what command-line expression we want Bash to execute. In this case, all we want it to do is run the markdown command. I have already installed the markdown command using the relevant Homebrew package, but Automator's Bash shell doesn't seem to find it in my command path. To work around Automator's difficulty finding the command, I simply put the full path Hp dv6500 battery,Touch Screen Monitors into the text box, as you can see below.
Now that the workflow is complete, you just have to save it under the name Markdown. By default, Automator will store your custom services in the ~/Library/services directory. Any Automator service that is copied into that path will be made available through the services menu under applicable conditions. To run the new service, you just have to select some text and then click the Markdown item in the services menu.

Why you getting silly with your Laptop?

Last Week,I stopped to pause on what it all means. Samsung Series 9 open on my lap, I looked at its curved lines and flowing form and wondered: is this enough?
I wondered if I was getting bored with laptops.
Moreover, I wondered if the laptop (Dell inspiron 1520 batteries) industry wasn't simply getting lazy amid a period in time that's seeing a computing revolution everywhere else.
Our current age is awash in new portable computing gadgets. Smartphones, now tablets. They get smaller, more advanced, and their designs keep changing, even on a monthly basis. Their OSes are fluidly redefining themselves--Android and iOS are adding new features and spreading their capabilities yearly. Windows 7 and OSX, meanwhile, feel frozen in time.
Of course, I'm extremely aware that manufacturers want you to feel that way. The iPad Tablets, and even new thin sliding convertible laptops...they're products to grab your money. They're not always what we need. I recognize that even as I cradle my iPad everywhere: it's a great gadget to use, but technically it's often superfluous.
Still, that venerable laptop--the computer Steve Jobs likened to a truck not so long ago--feels like the product of a bygone age. Too many laptops I review feel too similar to each other: subtle variations on a theme, adding a little RAM, a little hard drive space, a brighter screen, a slightly better battery. Few of them take risks and adopt new designs. Firstly, new designs are expensive. Secondly, new designs don't necessarily make a product better.
The current laptop industry has some big advantages in its favor: your average mainstream laptop is extremely functional, aggressively priced, and more than ample for anyone's everyday needs than it's ever been before. That's exactly what makes them hard to replace, or to even redesign. They're the best buys in the portable tech landscape.
However, I find myself using my home laptop less and less. If I'm commuting, I use my phone: at home, some combination of my phone and iPad. Days may pass before I open the lid of my old notebook, only to discover that I let its battery drain away in standby.
And yet...and yet, iPads can't be used as standalone devices. They require syncing to computers. I need my computer for certain tasks and advanced programs that simply don't exist on tablets or phones yet. So, I turn back to my computer for these odd jobs, which have become increasingly less common. If there's one device I'd need over any other in my home, the vote would still go to my laptop.
But for how long will this still be true for me? And, I wonder, can laptops reinvent themselves more aggressively to counter the growth of other gadgets?
It's a debate that I go back and forth on in my head, but the answer I keep coming to is always the same: laptops should take pains to catch up to where smartphones and tablets are heading, or risk becoming tech fossils.
The shape of a laptop is largely defined by its function: the size of its screen, a keyboard underneath, a hinge to hold it together--thus, the boxy, rectangular shape of a laptop. The essential design's changed very little since laptops first emerged decades Asus a42-v6 batteries ago. Meanwhile, the average touch-screen smartphone bears practically no resemblance to the massive flip-to-talk phones of the 1980s. Can laptops take a design leap in another direction--slide-out keyboards, more modular designs? Or, have sparser touch-screen devices simply one-upped the laptop's form? Are devices like the Sliding PC 7 and Acer Iconia the answer, or thin, longer-life laptops like the MacBook Air and Samsung Series 9? Or is a good, old-fashioned all-around laptop still the best design of all, stylishness be damned?

Buying Laptop Tips and Suggestion Guide

Buying Laptop Tips and Suggestion Guide - www.wholesaleeshop.com.au

Many people get laptops for themselves instead of desktops nowadays. Laptop is portable and can be easily carry from one place to another. It is best that you get a lightweight laptop because they are easy to carry. Gaming laptops often have heavy weight because of the high specs hardware. You can consider getting an ultra thin laptop if you want to travel around frequently. The laptop should have enough hard disk space to run the program.
The laptop should have a warranty. If you are buying a used laptop, make sure that it still carry the warranty from the manufacturer. If there is no warranty, you won’t be able to get it repaired for free. You should get a laptop with enough room for growth. For example, the laptop can offer extra slots for SD card memory. It should have at least one USB port so that you can use it with the USB drive. For the operating system, you can choose either Windows or Ubuntu. Laptop that runs on Ubuntu operating system is cheaper.
It is possible to buy a laptop from the online store nowadays. You can buy the laptop directly from the manufacturer or local store. The cost of the laptop varies between different models. Some laptop brands such as Apple can be expensive. You need to set a budget so that you don’t spend too much money on a laptop. If you choose to buy directly from the manufacturer, you can visit its website or make a call to place an order. At the laptop manufacturer website, you can select the types of specs you want your laptop to have. Only some specs can be customized. For example, you will be able to customize the processor, sound card, hard disk, graphic card and display size of the laptop. When customizing the laptop, you will be able to see how much each upgrade costs. It is recommended that you don’t customize the laptop with too many RAMs. If the laptop has too many RAM and very good CPU processor, there is a chance that your laptop will face blue screen situation. Another factor you should consider is the CPU processor. The CPU processor should be fast enough to run the program on your computer.
Many laptops have heating issues. You will want to do research to make sure that the laptop won’t generate too much heat when you are using it for extended period. If you don’t want your laptop to become overheat, you can get a laptop cooler from the online store. It is important that you read reviews to find out about the strengths and weak points of the laptop model you are interested to buy. The type of laptop you buy depends on how you are going to use it. Gaming laptop will be more expensive. A laptop that is used as desktop replacement will be significantly more expensive. If you only need a laptop to do college assignment, you can get one with low specifications.
Laptops with high-functioning graphics cards are the best choices if you are a gamer. A suitable card will generate enough power to work well with the bright colors and rapid movement of video games. A laptop that is used for games should have at least a fifteen inch screen. Look for a laptop with a powerful, long lasting battery because video games rapidly drain the energy of a computer.
If you plan to use a laptop for educational or business purposes, consider purchasing one that has a larger memory. A laptop that is less than ten inches is perfect for students because it is easy to transport. However, smaller varieties have less internal space, so they may only be used for basic tasks like word processing or research. For business purposes, a bigger laptop will allow for more complex tasks. An Acer laptop that is lightweight and portable may be the optimum choice if you are a student or business person.
